I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
